Financial acumen is a valuable life skill which is often underestimated until things don’t go to plan or the unexpected happens. Surprised that such an essential skill such as financial planning is not taught in schools, I felt motivated to raise awareness of the importance of a solid financial plan to alleviate what can be one of life’s great stressors.
Following a degree in Accounting and Finance at university, I spent over a decade in financial planning in central London and Kent. I have advised a diverse range of clients including those starting their investment journey through to those now looking to draw on their assets in the most tax efficient way and continue their legacy with future generations.
As a strong believer of visual and lifestyle financial planning, I embrace current technology to a build a clear, tailormade financial plan for each client. My life motto is borrowed from the well-known Chinese proverb “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step”. To me this means that a solid foundation is key to success, and we need this in place to ensure we make the right first step. This was embedded into me when learning the piano and clarinet.
I achieved Grade 8 in both instruments at an early age, something that is very challenging without that solid foundation. I continue playing the piano for relaxation with an eclectic taste ranging from the latest pop to classics such as Beethoven.
I live in South London with my wife - Mandy, and children, Zenon age 7 and Skylar age 5. As National Trust members, we spend a lot of time exploring the great outdoors on walks occasionally accompanied by our well-trained ragdoll cat, Ebi!
In addition to music, I’m an avid photographer especially in family portraiture. I’m also a car enthusiast whether it is driving or tinkering in the garage through to enjoying the occasional track day.
